Acceptable Use Policy
Sowa Answers is a product of Lesniak Advisory, a business registered in Ontario, Canada.
Last updated: June 15, 2026
01Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains how you may use the Sowa Answers website, dashboard, AI receptionist, SMS features, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms used here have the same meaning as in the Terms unless defined below.
02Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services only in compliance with applicable law, industry rules that apply to your business (where relevant), and the agreements between you and us. You are responsible for how your staff and anyone with access to your account use the Services.
03Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Services to:
- Violate any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights.
- Send spam, fraudulent messages, or deceptive communications to callers or SMS recipients.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against individuals or groups.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other accounts, or third-party networks.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services (including excessive or abusive automated traffic).
- Misrepresent your identity, your business, or the origin of communications sent through the Services.
- Use the Services to distribute malware or other harmful code.
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where permitted by law.
04Messaging, Consent & CASL
When you use the Services to send SMS or other messages to your callers and leads, you must comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the rules of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). In particular, you must:
- have the consent you need to contact each recipient (express or implied consent as CASL requires) before sending commercial messages;
- honour opt-out and STOP requests promptly — Sowa processes STOP keywords and per-contact opt-outs and checks opt-out status before sending, but you remain responsible for not contacting anyone who has opted out;
- identify yourself and your business accurately in your messages; and
- not use the Services for spam, harassment, fraud, deceptive messaging, or any unlawful calls or messages.
You are responsible for the consent basis of your own contact lists and for how you use the messaging features. Sowa provides opt-out tooling; it does not establish consent on your behalf.
05Monitoring & Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services, remove content, or take other reasonable steps if we believe you have violated this AUP or pose a risk to callers, recipients, or our infrastructure. Where appropriate, we will try to notify you, but urgent or serious cases may require immediate action. Nothing in this AUP limits remedies available under the Terms.
